Your senator is back in North Carolina. CALL THEIR FIELD OFFICE

It’s Friday—which means that your U.S. senator(s) from North Carolina is/are heading back home for the weekend.

Republicans intend to vote on repealing the ACA NEXT WEEK, which means this may be the LAST TIME your U.S. senator(s) is/are in the state before the vote. Calls to local, in-state field offices TODAY are crucial.

If this concerns you, make your voice heard.

Tell your Senator to oppose the Graham-Cassidy bill.  We need practical, bipartisan efforts to strengthen health care coverage. This bill isn’t it.

For example, it ends protections for people with pre-existing conditions like cancer. Many medical associations including the American Medical Association oppose this bill. Also, Several Republican governors oppose this bill.

We need to make sure senators do not stop hearing about how bad the Graham-Cassidy bill is when they are at home, and throughout next week until they fully commit to voting “no.”

Sen. Richard Burr:  local office;  (828)350-2437, (336)631-5125, (910)251-1058, (252)977-9522

Washington DC Switchboard:  (202) 224-3121, an operator will connect you with the Senator you request.

When you reach an aide or a voice mail, you can leave the following message, or use your own words:

Hello, my name is __________, calling from zip code 28714 in North Carolina. I am horrified the Senate plans to vote next week on Graham-Cassidy because it will cause tens of million Americans to lose their health insurance. Please oppose this bill. Thank you for your time.

Phone calls, protests, and pressure from constituents prevented the passage of a horrific bill in July.  We need to pile on the pressure like never before.

Next week, we need the pressure to continue.  Please do not give up until you get through and are able to let your voice be heard.

Thank you
