Spring has sprouted many opportunities to engage with our community: SEARCH's Homeplace and Hog Hollow Nonprofit Night, PATH's Burnsville Fit Families 5K, and coming up next...
SEARCH is hosting a Community Forum on Thursday, May 18 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Burnsville Town Center. Details are in the invitation below. The event is free and open to the public. To assist in planning, registration by May 10 is requested.
On April 12, SEARCH was honored to be the featured organization for the monthly Nonprofit Night at Homeplace Beer Company and Hog Hollow Pizza in Burnsville. SEARCH would like to thank these two gracious businesses and everyone who came out that evening, contributing to record funds raised for Nonprofit Night! Beautiful springtime weather in addition to delicious food and drinks were enjoyed by all.
SEARCH was well-represented at the event by current and retired board and committee members.
Board member Ed Seel greeted attendees inside Homeplace's main level.
SEARCH volunteers and community members enjoyed pizza, beer, and engaging conversation. Thank you to all who came out and contributed to making this a fun and successful event!
On April 22, SEARCH proudly sponsored a table at PATH's 12th Annual Burnsville Fit Families 5K. Despite the rain and chilly weather, 185 runners and walkers crossed the finish line, including a couple of SEARCH Board Members! Many more gathered at the Town Square and along Main Street to cheer them on.
Board member Ed Seel, Communications/Administrative Specialist Allison Edge, and Board Vice President Jon Ward manned the SEARCH table.
Children and adults of all ages started the 5K in front of the Nu-Wray Hotel in the Town Square. SEARCH Board President, Tom Kaluzynski, ran in his signature neon cap.
Retired SEARCH Board Chair Susan Larson came by to visit during the 5K (top photo). Runners picked up some fun swag items at our table after the race.
